As schools are getting into their conference schedules, former Rays from around the country continued to play key roles in their teams. Here are some highlights from the past week in college baseball from Rays alums.
Jake Schaffner belted his fourth homer of the season in a North Carolina weekend sweep of Notre Dame. Schaffner finished with six hits, seven RBIs, six runs scored, two doubles and four stolen bases.
Nick Bowron hit a walk off single for Creighton as the freshman finished the weekend with five hits, five walks and two RBIs.
Kolton Schaller walked off Miami (OH) as Kent State continued their hot start to the 2026 campaign. Schaller collected his 21st RBI of the season.
Sam Mommer went three innings of no-hit ball for Illinois against Missouri.
Jackson Hunley, Vince Goohlke and Carter Endisch each played a part in Lewis University’s two-win weekend. Hunley had four hits, including three RBI and a double, while Gohlke earned his second-straight win, going five innings of two-hit ball. He struck out five batters. Endisch made three appearances, going 4.2 innings of three-hit ball.
Max Glusick hit his first career home run for Milwaukee. Glusick finished the weekend 4-for-8 with six RBIs. Tate Schmidt collected four hits, while Dom Kibler collected six hits, including a home run. Riley Peterson went five innings of no-hit ball with eight strikeouts vs. Butler.
Davis Hamilton hit his second homer of the season for Minnesota.
Gabe Roessler hit his fourth homer of the season for Missouri State. Roessler had six hits over the week.
Liam Moreno had two hits in all three games over the weekend for St. Cloud State.
Dominik McVay hit his first home run of the season for UW-Whitewater.
