Conference races are heating up throughout the country and Rays are heating up at the plate and on the mound. Rays alums blasted 11 home runs and bashed 20 doubles while former Rays pitchers racked up 48 strikeouts. Below we will highlight some of the performances from this past weekend by former Rays players.

ANDREW RAJKOVICH had a career weekend as UW-La Crosse swept a weekend series with Finlandia. Rajkovich hit three home runs and drove in eight while going 7-for-18 on the weekend. On the season, Rajkovich is hitting .370 with four home runs. Teammate and fellow Rays alum SHANE COKER went 6-for-12 with two home runs, six RBIs and six Runs scored. Coker is hitting .355 on the year.

JOE ACKER hit two home runs, including an inside-the-park homer for Nebraska in their series with Rutgers. Acker finished 3-for-11 with four runs scored and two RBIs, two walks and a stolen base.

DRAKE BALDWIN hit a homer for Missouri State while going 6-for-15, including two doubles. Baldwin is currently in the midst of an 11-game hitting streak. Teammate and fellow Rays alum CAM CRATIC went 3-for-15 with an RBI, a run scored and three stolen bases. Cratic currently is hitting .318 on the season.

TANNER KOHLHEPP made two appearances for No. 10-ranked Notre Dame. Kohlhepp earned the win on Friday in relief, going 4.1 innings with no earned runs and two strikeouts. For the weekend, Kohlhepp, who was up to 98 mph, finished with 6.1 innings pitched, no earned runs with three strikeouts. Kohlhepp sports a 7-1 record with a 2.34 ERA and a .178 opponents batting average against to go along with 42 strikeouts in 42.1 innings pitched.

GRANT FRAZER earned the win on Sunday for Central Michigan in their sweep of Miami (OH). Frazer went five innings, allowing only two hits while striking out four. Fellow Rays alum ZACH GILLES went 3-for-9 with an RBI double, two runs scored, four walks and a stolen base. Gilles currently ranks 4th in the MAC with a .370 batting average.

ALAN RODEN continued his hot stretch for Creighton going 5-for-14 with four runs scored and two walks. The NCAA-leader in RBIs per game drove in four on the weekend. Roden is hitting .355 on the season.

REAGAN KLAWITER spun a gem for Madison College to help the Wolf Pack to a 5-2 week. Klawiter went 7.0 innings allowing three hits while striking out five. On the year, Klawiter is 4-1 with a 1.71 ERA with 34 strikeouts in 31.2 innings pitched. BRADY JURGELLA went 7-for-19 with a homer, a double, eight runs scored and six runs driven in. SPENCER BARTEL went 6-for-15 on the week with four walks, an RBI and four runs scored.

RILEY FREY took the tough loss for Milwaukee going six innings allowing only two earned runs with four strikeouts. Frey now has a 2.74 ERA with 47 strikeouts in 49.1 innings pitched for the Panthers. THOMAS OTTO made his collegiate debut and got the first hit of his career going 4-for-15 with a double and two RBIs. MARCUS CLINE also went 4-for-15 with a triple and four runs scored to go along with two stolen bases.

NICK CARPENTER and QUIN HENWOOD helped UW-Stevens Point to a sweep of UW-Eau Claire. Carpenter earned the win on the hill going five innings, allowing two earned runs with six strikeouts. Carpenter now has 37 strikeouts in 30.1 innings. Henwood finished 5-for-13 with a double and three runs scored.

for UW-Eau Claire, TOM GINTHER turned his his third-straight quality outing, going 5.2 innings with only two earned runs and seven strikeouts. OTTO TREICHEL went 8-for-17 with three RBIs and a double for the Blugolds.

CONNOR KURKI made two extended appearances on the mound for Coastal Carolina. Kurki went seven innings total allowing seven hits, three earned runs and seven strikeouts. For the year, Kurki has 10 strikeouts in 10 innings pitched.

NICK HERBST went 7-for-20 with four runs scored, two RBIs and a triple. MITCHELL MUELLER made two appearances going 3.2 innings with an earned run allowed and five strikeouts.

JOHN NETT went 9-for-15 with six RBIs a double and nine runs scored for St. Cloud State on the week. Nett is currently on a 14-game hitting streak and is hitting .400 on the season for the Huskies.

BEN CAREW hit his fourth home run of the season for Kent State in their weekend set vs. Ohio. Carew finished 3-for-11 with four runs scored. NICK ELSEN went 1-for-4 with a triple for the Golden Flashes.

COLTEN SCHILD went 4-for-15 with a double, two RBIs and four run scored for Saint Louis’ split vs. George Washington. Shild is hitting .304 on the year.

JAKE RAJKOVICH went 5-for-13 for St. Norbert with five RBIs, two doubles and a run scored.

QUINN BERGLIN went 8-for-23 on the week for Lawrence Univ. Berglin had two doubles, six RBIs and two runs scored.

CALVIN NOWAK hit a home run and three doubles for Lindenwood Univ. Nowak finished the week 5-for-11 with five runs scored and is how hitting .321 on the season.

TREVOR OLSON went 6.1 innings on the mound for Xavier allowing six hits, two earned runs and three strikeouts. Olson now sports a 2.84 ERA with 40 strikeouts and 44.1 innings pitched. JEFF HOLTZ went 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI for the Musketeers.

WILL SEMB went 2.2 innings for Iowa against Indiana. The freshman allowed zero hits and struck out two. Semb now has 10 strikeouts in 8.2 innings pitched on the year.

JAKE BERG made his return to the Jacksonville lineup from injury going 1-for-5 with a double for the Dolphins.
