Week 6 of the college baseball season is in the books and Rays alums all across the country are hitting the diamond. Here are some highlights from the past week in college baseball for former Rays players.
Evan Gustafson left the yard three time for North Dakota State, including the go-ahead homer as the Bison topped Minnesota. Gustafson drove in six and now had five homers on the season.
Noah Wech went four innings over two appearances for Oklahoma State. Wech struck out five batters allowing no runs for the Cowboys.
Vincent Gohlke spun a gem, going six innings of shutout ball, scattering two hits with nine punchouts for Lewis.
Madison College returned from their yearly trek through the American Southwest after an 8-3 trip. Braylen White leads all Wolf Pack hitters with a 448 average on the season. White has two triples, six doubles with seven RBIs and 11 runs scored on the season. Fellow Rays alum in the lineup Nate Novinska is hitting .370 with two home runs, two triples, four doubles with 13 runs scored.
On the hill, Noah Marschke went 5 innings pitched allowing four hits with an earned run with six strikeouts against South Mountain CC. Jack Poellot threw six innings, scattering eight hits with four earned and eight strikeouts over two appearances. Carter Lund made two appearances, going 8.1 innings with two earned and eight strikeouts. Carter Wambach also made two appearances, going 2.1 innings with no earned and two strikeouts.
Aaron Jungers made two appearances for Lindenwood, going 1 inning with a strikeout. On the season, Jungers has a ,44 ERA over 20.1 innings pitched.
Dominic Kibler hit his third home run of the season for Milwaukee at Wright State. Kibler extended his hitting streak to seven games.
Davis Hamilton had a double in all three games for Minnesota in their weekend set at Indiana. Hamilton drove in five for the Gophers.
Terek Verhage hit his first career triple for St. Thomas while driving in four runs.
