Rays alum hit the baseball out of the park at an astounding rate during Week 7 of the College Baseball season. Career-weeks were the highlight as teams entered into the heart of conference play for the 2025 season. Here are some of the highlights for Rays alums during the past week.
This past week was highlighted by two former Rays making their Major League debuts. Drake Baldwin (Braves) and Alan Roden (Blue Jays) both collected their first Major League hits as well. Congrats, Alan and Drake!
Perhaps one of the greatest performances of the 2025 college baseball season to date, at any level, belongs to ANDREW RAJKOVICH. Rajkovich went 10-for-14 with FIVE home runs for UW-Lacrosse in their sweep of UW-Stout. Rajkovish collected 13 RBI and also scored 11 runs. The senior also added a double and is now hitting .426 on the season. Fellow Rays alums ANTHONY VIVIAN and JACK OLVER each also hit home runs for the Eagles. DAELEN JOHNSON pitched a scoreless inning with a strikeout in relief.
THOMAS OTTO, JUSTIN HAUSSER and GABE ROESSLER all hit two home runs apiece for Milwaukee in their 3-1 week. Hausser collected eight RBI to go along with two doubles. Otto netted six RBI and Roessler drove in five while also stealing three bags. Roessler now has seven bombs on the season.
NATE NOVINSKA belted two homers for Madison College in their two wins this past week back in the Midwest. Novinska drove in six and added a triple while going 4-for-7. Other Rays EDISON ALONSO, and JALEN GELLINGS also went deep for the Wolf Pack. Alonso went 5-for-10, raising his season average to .489, with four RBI, while Gellings went 3-for-9 with three RBI. On the hill, QUINN FALISH earned the win going six innings, scattering six hits and allowing a lone earned run while striking out six. Falish is now 2-0 on the season with a .73 ERA.
ASHTON MICHEK improved to 4-1 on the season after going six innings of two-hit ball and three strikeouts versus Minnesota-Duluth. The lefty now has 37 strikeouts in 32 innings.
CAL MCGINNIS hit a long ball on Friday fro Evansville, while improving his season average to .346.
CAL FISHER hit a 436 foot moon shot at Notre Dame for Florida State in their Friday win. It was Fisher’s third of the season.
QUINN BERGLIN made two appearances on the weekend for Rutgers against Washington. Berglin earned the win on Saturday. The senior righty went 6.1 innings, allowing two hits and a lone earned run while striking out seven. Berglin is now 1-0 with a 1.74 ERA on the season.
TIAGO SANCHEZ earned another win, going six innings of one-hit ball with three strikeouts. Sanchez now has 34 strikeouts in 27 innings pitched.
LIAM MORENO homered and drove in three for St. Cloud State. Moreno is now batting .348 on the year.
DOM KIBLER homered for Kent State in their mid-week win. It was his fourth of the year.
MASON KIRCHBERG homered for UW-Oshkosh against UW-Platteville.
ELIJAH FRANK is now batting .400 on the season. Frank collected a homer for UW-Whitewater against UW-Eau Claire. HUDSON TURNER also went deep for the Warhawks.
JAKE SCHAFFNER went 4-for-9, raising his season average to .378. Schaffner scored four times and stole three bases for North Dakota State against South Dakota State. On the other side of the diamond, KEAGEN JIRSCHELE went 3-for-9 with two runs scored to go along with a double and a triple.
CARTER WAMBACH went deep with four RBI for Drury.
