With Division II and III conference tournaments in the books, 24 former Rays are headed to the NCAA tournament, while Division I baseball is heading down the home stretch and the final weeks of the regular season. Here are some highlights from former Rays players from the past week.

JAKE BERG went 6-for-14 with two home runs, a double, triple and six RBIs for Lipscomb. The senior backstop now has five homers on the season.

CAL FISHER extended his hitting streak to 14 games for Florida State. Fisher went 7-for-15 with four RBI and six runs scored. The Seminole sophomore is now batting .324 on the year.

DOMINIC KIBLER hit a pinch-hit, walk off homer for Kent State.

Madison College won their sectional, going 3-0 over the weekend. The WolfPack move on to play for a chance at the NJCAA College World Series. TRACE KIRCHBERG belted two home runs while going 3-for-5 with a double and five RBI. CARTER LUND went 4.2 innings in relief to pick up a win while allowing no hits with four strikeouts. HOWIE RICKET went 5-for-10 with five RBI. NOAH MARSCHKE struck out six in 4.1 innings, improving to 6-1. On the season, Marshcke has a 2.57 ERA with 76 strikeouts in 56 innings. MARCELINO EDISON ALONSO hit his eight homer of the season.

BRADEN SMITH went 6.1 innings, scattering eight hits allowing two earned while striking out six. For the year, Smith went 7-2 with a 3.52 ERA and 79 strikeouts in 76.2 innings.

GABE ROESSLER went 5-for-10 with three doubles, two walks and two stolen bases. The stolen bases were number 28 and 29 on the season for Roessler.

JAK SCHAFFNER extended his hitting streak to 10 games for North Dakota State. For the year, Schaffner is hitting .385.

CAL McGINNIS went 5-for-11 with a double, two RBI for Evansville. McGinnis is now hitting .324 on the season.

SAM MOMMER was named the GLIAC Freshman Pitcher of the Year for UW-Parkside.

MAX KALK hit his first homer of the year for Ball State at Purdue.
