As we near the home stretch of the College Baseball season, Ray alums are helping put their teams in position to make a run into the post-season. Here are some highlights from the past week in College Baseball from former Rays players.
DAVIS HAMILTON went 8-for-15 with a home run, triple, double 10 RBI and five runs scored for North Dakota State. Hamilton is now batting .313 on the season and his home run was his fourth of the year. JAKE SCHAFFNER also belted a home run for the Bison. Schaffner drove in three and is now hitting .367 for the season. GARRETT SHUPE went 5.2 innings on the mound scattering five hits and striking out three.
CAL McGINNIS had two hits in all three games for Evansville at Missouri State. McGinnis homered, his third of the season, while driving in three. The Purple Aces senior is now hitting .336 on the year. LOGAN DUNN went 2-for-3 with a double for Missouri State.
JACK OLVER collected his 300th hit of his career for UW-LaCrosse after his 9-hit weekend. Olver belted two home runs, his 6th of the season while driving in eight RBI. Olver is hitting .324 on the season. ANDREW RAJKOVICH hit his 12th home run of the season and had two hits in all four games over the weekend against UW-River Falls. Rajkovich drove in nine and is hitting .350. On the hill, CHAYCE OSTERHAUS improved to 6-1 after going seven innings, allowing no earned runs and striking out eight. Osterhaus has a 3.30 ERA on the year.
MARCELINO EDISON ALONSO hit his 7th homer of the year for Madison College. QUINN FALISH improved to 4-0 on the mound, after going four innings, scattering three hits and no earned runs. Falish is pitching to a .58 ERA on the season. NOAH MARSCHKE made two starts, going 11 innings, allowing nine hits and two earned runs while striking out 16. For the season, Marschke has 62 strike outs in 44.2 innings pitched for the WolfPack.
JOSH JANSEN went seven innings allowing no earned runs with five strike outs for UW-Oshkosh. Jansen is now 6-2 with a 3.32 ERA. MASON KIRCHBERG hit his fourth homer of the season.
ELIJAH FRANK went 6-for-14 with a home run, his 10th of the season, two doubles and six RBI for UW-Whitewater. Frank is now hitting .361 on the year. BRADY MALKOW struck out five in 2.1 innings over two appearances. Malkow has 17 strikeouts in 9.2 innings on the season.
CAL FISHER had hits in all three games for Florida State at Louisville. Fisher hit his 6th homer of the year.
LIAM MORENO hat seven hits, including his 7th homer of the season for St. Cloud State. Moreno is hitting .345 for the year.
BRIGS RICHARTZ is currently on an eight-game hitting streak after collecting hits in all five games over the week for St. Thomas.
CARTER WAMBACH went 5-for-9 with two doubles and five RBI for Drury against McKendree.
JAKE BERG went 5-for-9 with three RBI for Lipscomb against Tennessee and Eastern Kentucky.
JUSTIN HAUSSER had four hits, all doubles for Milwaukee against Cincinnati and Wright State. Hausser has 15 doubles on the season.
JACK DeTIENNE made two appearances for Xavier, going two innings with five strikeouts.
MAX KALK went 1-for-1 with an RBI for Ball State against Indiana.
