Week 6 of the College Baseball Season has wrapped up and once again Rays alums have turned in impressive performances for their teams as schools are entering into the conference portion of their schedules. Here are some highlights from Rays alums during the past week of baseball.

North Dakota State freshman JAKE SCHAFFNER had three hits in three of the four games the Bison played over the week. Schaffner finished 9-for-16 with a double, two triples, a stolen base and three RBIs. Schaffner raised his average to .392 for the season. Fellow Rays alum ROMAN TRAPANI made his first collegiate start on the mound against Nebraska. Trapani struck out four in 2.1 innings of work.

Augustana LHP ASHTON MICHEK went six innings, scattering four hits, allowing a lone earned run with six strike outs. Michek improved to 4-0 on the season and has a 1.80 ERA with 33 strikeouts in 30 innings pitched.

Dallas Baptist sophomore JOEY NERAT belted his fourth homer of the season at Sam Houston State.

MARCUS CLINE hit his fourth home run of the season in a 4-for-6 night at Rice. The Tulane graduate senior raised his average to .304 on the year.

Lawrence RHP QUINN BERGLIN dazzled once again as the senior went seven innings of scoreless ball vs. Knox. Berglin scattered two hits with six strikeouts. On the season, Berglin is now 4-0 on the season with a 1.59 ERA and 35 strikeouts in 28.1 innings pitched.

A trio of former RAys helped UW-La Crosse to a sweep at Wash Univ. over the weekend. JACK OLVER extended his hitting streak to 10 games going 12-for-25 over the past week. Olver is hitting .382 with two homers on the season. ANTHONY VIVIAN went 7-for-20 with five runs scored and is now batting .415 on the year. NATHAN MELNIKOFF threw two innings of shutout ball with two strikeouts vs. John’s Hopkins.

JACKSON ADAMS has started the season hitting .550 for UW-Stevens Point. Adams has three doubles an four stolen bases for the Pointers.

Lewis Univ. freshman JACKSON HUNLEY hit his first career home run vs. St. Francis. Hunley drove in three and walked twice also.

Minnesota sophomore RHP CADEN CAPOMACCIO struck out two in an inning vs. San Francisco. For the season, Capomaccio has 11 strike outs in 6.1 innings with no earned runs allowed.

Nebraska backstop JOSH CARON pounded out five hits and had five RBIs in three games over the past week. Caron is hitting .296 with five homers and 26 RBIs.

BRIGS RICHARTZ went 5-for-13 with four runs scored, an RBI and two doubles to raise his average to .383 on the year.

Kansas senior JOHN NETT, who had hits in two of three games this past week, saw his 10-game hitting streak snapped, but is currently hitting .314 on the season,

MATTHEW DePREY hit his second homer of the season while recording hits in all three games vs. VCU.

LANDEN LOZIER had five hits for Michigan State, including two doubles. The Spartan freshman is hitting .417 on the season.

REECE LAWLER picked up his fifth save of the season for Illinois-Chicago and has 14 strike outs in 14.2 innings pitched on the year. Fellow Rays alum VINCENT TRAPANI turned in his best performance of the season going two innings with two strike outs and no earned runs against Purdue.
