Week 4 of the College Baseball featured some great news for Rays alums and more standout performances at the plate and on the mound as several schools began conference play. Below are some highlights from former Rays players during Week 4 of the college baseball season.

Five former Rays players earned spots on the inaugural 2024 MLB Spring Breakout Game rosters. The Spring Breakout Games feature the Top Prospects in Major League Baseball in a games played on March 16-17. ALAN RODEN (Blue Jays), DRAKE BALDWIN and CADE BUNNELL (Braves), GEORGE KLASSEN (Phillies) and MAX WAGNER (Orioles) were all named to the rosters.

On Sunday, Alan Roden belted his second homer of the Spring for the Blue Jays.

For the third week in a row, ASHTON MICHEK dazzled on the mound for Augustana. The sophomore lefty went 6 innings, scattering two hits with no earned runs to go along with 10 strikeouts against Bemidji State. For the season, Michek has a 1.00 ERA in 18 innings with 22 strikeouts.

Senior two-way standout for Lawrence, QUINN BERGLIN went 5.1 innings, allowing two hits a lone earned run with five strikeouts against Millikin while also contributing his first homer of the season. On the year, Berglin is 2-0 with a 2.51 ERA with 17 strikeouts in 14 innings for the Vikings.

ELI FRANK and DOMINIK McVAY each started their season on the right foot for UW-Whitewater. Frank has started 13-for-21 (.619 avg) at the dish with four doubles, a home run, seven runs scored and 14 RBIs, while McVay has started 8-for-17 with a double, home run and six runs scored for the Warhawks.

Xavier senior backstop MATTHEW DePREY went 7-for-19 over the last week, including hits in 5-straight games. DePrey helped the Musketeers take down No. 1-ranked LSU on the road.

JOHN NETT went 5-for-11 with three runs scored, a double and a triple for Kansas against No. 5-ranked TCU. On the year, Nett is hitting .321.

JUSTIN HAUSSER went 7-for-21 with three doubles and two RBIs for Milwaukee, helping earn Panther head coach Shaun Wegner his first collegiate head coaching victory.

UIC right-hander REECE LAWLER went 3 innings piched over two appearances striking out four. On the year, Lawler sports a .87 ERA in 10.1 innings pitched for the Flames.

Nebraska junior JOSH CARON went 3-for-11 with two doubles and his fourth homer of the season.

DAVIS HAMILTON homered for North Dakota State at SE Louisiana State. JAKE SCHAFFNER added two hits, one a double and an RBI with four walks,

WILL SEMB struck out seven batters in 5.1 innings against Gonzaga. Fellow Rays alum CADEN CAPOMACCIO struck out two in 1.2 innings pitched.

Michigan State freshman LANDEN LOZIER earned his first collegiate start for the Spartans, going 3-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base while manning centerfield.

DYLAN O’CONNELL homered for Western Kentucky against Milwaukee. He now is hitting .304 with two long balls on the season.

CAL FISHER went 2-for-4 with two RBIs for Florida State as the Seminoles improved to 14-0 on the season.

JOEY NERAT went 2-for-5 with a run scored, two RBIs, a double, two walks and a stolen base vs. San Diego for Dallas Baptist.

Kent State freshman DOMINIC KIBLER homered for the Golden Flashes versus Central Michigan.
