Rays alums continue to produce on the mound and at the plate as we enter the meat and potatoes of the College Baseball season. Below are some highlights from Rays alums from the past week:

RILEY FREY struck out a career-high 10 Wright State batters as Milwaukee captured a huge weekend sweep. Frey went 6.1 innings and allowed only two earned runs. For the season, Frey owns a 3.64 ERA and has 47 strikeouts in 49 innings. Fellow Rays alum MARCUS CLINE scored six runs, walked four times and tripled, while JUSTIN HAUSSER had three hits, two doubles and two RBIs. ELIOT TURNQUIST earned the win on Saturday going six innings, scattering two hits and striking out four.

SCOTT SCHREIBER Homered twice for Corpus Christi, the DOuble-A affiliate of the Houston Astros. Schreiber drove in five runs.

ST. Thomas sophomore BRIGS RICHARTZ hit for the cycle over the weekend as the Tommies topped Northern Colorado. Richartz finished 6-for-15 with four RBIs and is now batting .302 on the year.

MATTHEW MUELLER continued his stellar freshman campaign with Gonzaga as the LHP went 7.o innings, allowing eight hits and a lone earned run while striking out three batters vs. San Diego. Mueller has a team-best 4.30 ERA with 33 strike outs in 29.1 innings.

ETHAN BOSACKER Twirled another gem for Xavier as the Musketeers won their 10th consecutive game. Bosacker went 7.2 innings, allowing five hits and striking out seven Butler batters. Bosacker has 55 strike outs in 47.2 innings with a 2.83 ERA. MATTHEW DePREY went 6-for-15 with two home runs, two doubles, five RBIs and six runs scored.

CHIRISTIAN OPPOR went five innings, allowing a lone hit with eight strike outs vs. Pensacola State. Oppor has 62 strikeouts in 38.1 innings pitched on the season.

ANTHONY VIVIAN continued his power streak at the plate for UW-La Crosse. The sophomore belted three long balls moving his season total to nine. Vivian is now batting .364.

MASON COYLE hit two homers, drove in five runs and walked five times for St. Mary’s. Coyle is now batting .364 on the year.

JOSH CARON went 6-for-17 with a homer, three doubles and three runs scored for Nebraska in the weekend series with Michigan. Caron is now batting .320 on the year.

CAM CRATIC produced multiple clutch hits for Missouri State. Cratic went 7-for-12 with four RBIs for the Bearcats against Bradley.

JAKE BERG went 4-for-11 with a double, run scored and an RBI for Lipscomb.

JIMMY JUERGENSEN went 7-for-28 with two homers and seven RBIs for Concordia, Wis.

Five former Rays helped Madison College to a 5-0 week. GABE ROESSLER went 8-for-17 with two doubles, two triples, six runs scored and six RBIs. TRACE KIRCHBERG went 4-for-10 with an RBI. COLIN OBERMANN went 3-for-6 with three RBIs. CARSON SHEPARD went 3-for-4 with three walks and two RBIs. NICK WEST threw 2 innings with a strike out.

ASHTON MICHECK went 4.1 innings allowing a lone earned run with four strike outs for Augustana.

BENNETT FRAZER went 9-for-18 with three triples, three RBIs and five runs scored for UW-Whitewater.

DAVIS HAMILTON went 3-for-8 with a double, RBI and three runs scored at Texas Tech for North Dakota State.
